The Bioinformatics centre at the Centre for Plant Molecular Biology & Biotechnology (earlier CPMB) is one among the Sub-Distributed Information Centre (DISC) of the BTIS network which was established in scientific institutions all over India to foster research, education and training in Bioinformatics.
Our faculties participate in a number of national or international collaborative projects and are open to proportions of collaboration with the following leading research institutions:
Classrooms and computer lab and molecular biology laboratories with a total area of 15,000 sq.ft are made available for teaching and research
100 desktop computers (55 Nos of i5 desktop computers and 45 Intel Core i3) are used for bioinformatics teaching and training activities.
Browsing Center facility for all UG / PG students established with i5 desktop computers.
Molecular marker lab facility is available for students’ class and research work.Fields comprising of wet lands, dry lands and garden lands are available for students to raise the crops for the research, demonstrations and class work.
